Every year, the Town of Knightdale participates in Creek Week, an initiative started to engage the public on the importance of clean and healthy waterways. Creek Week encompasses numerous events hosted by the Town of Knightdale and other local partners. From the Story Walk through the Knightdale Environmental Park to the Shred Event at Knightdale Station Park, Creek Week has numerous opportunities for citizens to engage in sustainable practices. The culmination of Creek Week is the Litter Sweep event that gives everyone the opportunity to get hands-on and help keep Knightdale clean and beautiful.
This year we are also excited to host an Art Contest to get younger members of the community thinking about the health and wellness of their town. This art contest is an opportunity for children to be creative and start thinking about how pollution and litter impact them and the places they live.
