Park Site Update - June 2026

Recent Progress

  • Structures Removed: The existing house and barns have been safely removed.
  • Tree Preservation: All large trees, including the historic pecan trees have been protected. Crews also trimmed and cleaned them up to promote long-term health.
  • Site Cleanup: Multiple loads of old tires and debris have been cleared from the property.
  • Access Improvements: Overgrown crepe myrtles were removed, and both driveway entrances have been cleared to improve visibility and access.
  • Materials Saved: Several reusable floor beams and two dump loads of foundation stones were salvaged. These materials are being stored for potential future use.

What’s Next

  • Installing enhanced gravel entrances for easier site access
  • Building a stone pad where the house once stood for parking and small events
  • Preparing the site to support community gatherings and planned activities
  • Adding “No Dumping” and “No Trespassing” signage to help keep the property clean and safe
